Church in Society (Lecture Notes)

You must have a framework of justice! Be guided by the principal of justice!

Bulawayo Church

It is great to hear the music, the sound of a few simple instruments and the beauty of the singing.

Mapfupa Angu Achapfuka

Zimbabwe has a rich and complicated history, but as Chigumadzi writes, there is an opportunity to listen to the ancestors, that these bones will rise again. There is hope for Zimbabwe, it nearly died, it has been close to death, but my hope and prayer is that a day is coming when its health will return and a resurrected Zimbabwe will emerge.

I am a white, university educated, male. I like to think I am empathetic and understanding. I thought I knew about gender equity but until I stopped to listen I realised I had no idea. #justvoicesconference, #ideashaveconsequences, #genderequity

Over the next few weeks I’ll be looking at what the Bible says about sexuality and the response of the Church, looking for the beauty in the Church's brokenness.

There is so much anticipation, busying ourselves with preparation for a couple of dates that rarely live up to the hype of expectation. Having seen shops advertising Christmas since the summer it all comes and goes … Continue reading Unrestricting Voices
