Where is the Light, in the widows’ cry?
Where is the light, in the new orphans’ night?
Where is the light, when green won’t run dry?
Where is the light, when invasion strikes?
Where is the light, on scrolling news feeds?
Where is the light, when your strength has retired?
Where is the light, in our fading dreams?
Where is the light, when our sweets, turned sour?
Light can be found, In the arms around her side
Light can be found, when kind ears hear the weeping
Light can be found, in helping hands, giving new sight
Light can be found, in coffee shops, where friends are meeting.
Light can be found, In the walker’s friendly smile
Light can be found, On the sofa, at rest with a brew
Light can be found, in faces not seen for a while
Light can be found, in the simple ‘I love you’
See there is a light, for us all to reflect
See there’s a light… see there’s a light….
