By Chrissi Pegg.

These ballet shoes belonged to my daughter. She’s 12. She’s been dancing with her current dance school for nearly 5 years. She does various classes with them; ballet, contemporary ballet, modern jazz, musical theatre and is also preparing for pointe work in the not too distant future. These shoes have been worn for many, many hours of classes, rehearsals and even shows. They show a passion and commitment to something she loves very much. She also has many diagnosed additional needs including Developmental Co-ordination Disorder, or dyspraxia in old terms. Not a usual diagnosis for a dancer. It makes it more difficult but that doesn’t stop her! We have found the thing that is her thing, the one that keeps her going and is worth getting out of bed for! The thing that shows just how brilliant and amazing she is, that we can share with everyone else, so they too can see how brilliant and amazing she is too!
✏️ Chrissi is married to Dave and lives very close to the beach on the South Coast of England, her happy place! She has 2 teen girls who like to make her feel older and older every day! She is very blessed to be a full time Mum and home educator which lately involves a lot of sitting in car parks waiting for the younger girl to finish yet another dance class!
